A Day of Mourning

I looked at my phone this morning at 3am to see that Donald Trump had been elected to be the next president of the United States. Words cannot describe the fear, disappointment, and shock that I’ve been experiencing over the last few hours but what I can say that for the first time in a very long time I woke up embarrassed to be a part of this country. I’m not going to go into details about my feelings but the reason I started this blog was to share the little things that make me happy and with that, sometimes, the big things that make me sad. This is one of those things.

But with all this weighing on myself and millions of others, not just Americans, I’ll leave you with this. If millennials (my generation) were the only one’s to vote, Trump would not have won. In fact, he would have lost by a landslide. I’d like to think this is the light at the end of the tunnel.

Really sad that he won. Everyone I know in the UK was hoping for Hillary x

I’m with you, girl. All we can do now is work hard, stand together, and spread love. I’m about to post too…

Sad over here too. Can’t believe our country voted for a man who based his whole campaign on hate. It is comforting to know we as millennials are better.
