10 Favorite Clothing Purchases of 2015

In case this post needs more explanation, I felt like sharing with you the top ten clothing purchases that I’ve made this year. I’ve either worn these pieces to death already or plan on doing so in the future. Some of them are a little harder to squeeze into “everyday” outfits but they are still at the top of my list. I would highly recommend any of these pieces to anyone 🙂

clothing top 10

  • Duster Jacket (similar here) – I get compliments on this jacket pretty much every time I wear it. It lays loose on whatever I’m wearing and comes to a little bit higher that my knees and my wrists on the sleeves. Probably my chicest purchase of the year.
  • Triangle Ring & Necklace (similar ring, similar necklace) – So I actually bought this necklace in NYC and the ring months later not realizing until after the fact that I had bought the same piece of jewelry in two forms. What can I say, I have a thing for gold triangles I guess! I wear the ring every single day and the necklace on nights out.
  • Over the Knee Boots – One of my most recent (and BA) purchases, I am obsessed with these. They are super comfy, warm and always get compliments. I’m definitely going to be wearing them a lot more this Winter/Spring.
  • Adidas Sneakers – I bought these per a recommendation from my friend who runs marathons and will not be going back to any other type of sneaker. I know that Adidas shoes are not typically the most popular running shoes but they work so much better for me than any other brand I’ve ever worn. If you have a neutral stride and need a good amount of cushioning but a light shoe, these shoes are perfect for you.
  • Bathing Suit (in black)- Who doesn’t need a black bathing suit? This cut is probably the most comfy cut of bathing suit I have ever worn. You don’t have to worry about nip slips and the shape itself is super flattering for athletic builds with wider rib cages like myself.
  • Maxi Dress – This is simultaneously one the comfiest and put-together pieces I own which makes for a perfect combination. I wore this out in Antigua and Martha’s Vineyard on multiple occasions and am going to get many more uses out of it during this coming year’s vacations.
  • Skirt – My most recent purchase, this skirt comes to about my knees and goes up to just cover my belly button. And because of where it hits on my stomach, it gives the illusion that I actually have curves. Paired with booties, a crop top that hid the rest of my tummy, and a cardigan, this outfit earned me several compliments this past weekend.
  • Pink Shirt -When I got this shirt from my mom and sister for my birthday this year I was a little hesitant because I’d never had something with its type of neck cut because usually halter tops make my shoulders look even wider than they are but this one doesn’t! I think it’s because the neck strap is so thick?
  • Flats (similar here) – I picked these up right before I started at a new job in February and in conjunction with some black boots have worn these at my office everyday. Unlike every other pair of flats I’ve ever owned, they don’t bother and rub my heels at all and stay comfy all day.
  • Black Skirt (similar here)- I got this during one of my many NYC trips this Spring and upon returning home it quickly became one of my work staples. It comes up to the perfect spot around my waist to give me a shape, is just the right length, and can be worn with a plethora of different work tops. Heck I wear this out on the town too.
