After a disappointing color of year in 2015 (sorry Marsala..) I’m happy to announce that I adore the Pantone color of the year for 2016! Or should I say colors? For the first time ever Pantone has chosen the “blending of two shades,” Rose Quartz and Serenity, as the color of the year. Here are my thoughts on each:
Rose Quartz: A beautifully delicate dusty rose pink, a color that I have been finding myself wearing a lot more in the past year.
Serenity: A lightish periwinkle color, which just happens to be one of my favorite three colors. (Others include aqua and taupe)
The joining of these colors creates a combination that mimics the sky at sunset after a storm. If that doesn’t make sense, please refer to the picture below that I actually took just a couple months ago (no filters or anything).
So in honor of this beautiful duo being crowned the it couple of 2016, I wanted to browse the interweb to see if anyone else was jumping on the Rose Quartz/Serenity bandwagon (cause I sure as hell am). Here are some of my top picks in these beautious shades:
