Best Cyber Monday Sale Codes

Happy Monday morning all!

I’m currently struggling a little to get back into the wake up at 7am instead of 10am sleep pattern after being able to sleep in for four mornings in a row this past weekend, which is so much easier said than done. I’m a little disappointed to report back that I do zero shopping this weekend and therefore have made no headway on my Christmas shopping. So this morning I took to the internet and searched through some of my favorite stores trying to find Cyber Monday deals that would help set me on the right track for holiday shopping. Here are some of the ones I came across:

  • J.Crew – “MONDAY” to get 40% of 507 styles and 30% off everything else
  • Shop Bop – “GOBIG15” to get 15% off $250+, 20% off $500+, and 25% off $1000+
  • Neiman Marcus – “GC4YOU” to earn a $50 gift card with a $200 purchase, $125 with a $500 purchase, $250 with a $1000 purchase and $500 with a $2000 purchase
  • Madewell – “SHOPATWORK” to get 25% entire purchase
  • Asos – “BLESSED” to get 30% off everything
  • MAC – 25% off all Holiday Kits and Eye Palettes (no code needed)
  • NEST Fragrances – “CMON25” to get $25 off $100+ purchase, and “CMON50” to get $50 off $150 purchase
  • Aldo – “CYBER” to get 20% off all regularly priced items
  • H&M – “2020” to get 20% off $25+ purchase, “3030” to get 30% off $50+ purchase, and “4040” to get 40% off sale items
  • Banana Republic – “BESTCYBER” to get 40% off everything

Little Things I’m Thankful For

In honor of Thanksgiving tomorrow here in the States, I wanted to share with you a little list of things that I’m thankful for that don’t include the obvious ones (family, friends, health, etc.)

I’m thankful for

  • Living close enough to the Charles River to run it whenever I please
  • Friends who laugh at my punny jokes, even if they’re really just laughing at me
  • My parents hosting dinner for my siblings and I every Sunday
  • My Pure Barre instructors always being so amazingly friendly when I walk into the studio
  • Working at an office outside of the city that allows me to venture to the suburbs everyday
  • My friends that live far away and still take the time to call me and catch up
  • Wednesday night runs followed by Whole Foods and Jeopardy with my friend
  • The opportunities I’ve had to travel with my family
  • The conversations I have with coworkers at lunch everyday that give me a nice mental break from work
  • The continued and growing support I’ve received for Creme de Boston over the past months 🙂

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I’ll be taking the day off to spend with family but will be right back on schedule on Friday 🙂

Product Review: Maybelline Volum’ Express The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara

I have been a staunch supporter of Maybelline mascara ever since I started wearing them 7 years ago. I have never come across a mascara of theirs that disappointed me because they only got better and better. Until now.

  • Does not flake during the day
  • Does not feel crispy on the lashes after drying
  • It comes off easily with water or makeup remover

  • The applicator stem is loosely attached to the cap so it wobbles a little during application
  • The applicator is too big to get into the inner corners of my eye
  • The bristles are not how they appear on the packaging and are instead sparse and short which makes it hard to get product
  • Despite having short, spaced out bristles, after only the first use the formula became very clumpy
  • The mascara itself does not add volume and only adds length after 3 layers of application which also creates clumping
  • It takes a couple of minutes to dry, which  longer than I’m used to

Overall I am sad to say that I would definitely not repurchase this product. I simply cannot get long or voluminous lashes with the formulation and applicator of this mascara so I’ll happily be going back to my Lash Sensational, which I love. And while I will not be repurchasing this particular mascara, I will definitely continue to try out future Maybelline mascara’s because their track record is still really impressive in my book.
