Holy cow where is the summer going. July definitely went by more quickly than any other month this year this is largely in part because I was gone every single weekend in July (Maine, NYC, Mattapoisett, Martha’s Vineyard). Despite my busy schedule and constant moving around, however, there were a couple things that I quickly became enamored by and brought with me everywhere I went. Here are my July favorites!
Hula Bronzer – Bronzer is definitely a must-have in the summer when you’re trying to fake a day at the beach glow. I picked this up in NYC and love it for contouring and adding some all over tan to my face.
Essie Nail Polish in Clambake – I got a pedicure with this color in NYC but was heartbroken to realize that I’d forgotten what it was called when I got back. So when my friend went back to the salon and got the same color and texted me the name, I was thrilled and picked it up immediately. This is a bright brilliant reddish orange color that I’ve been obsessed with this past Spring/Summer.
Gold Sandals (similar) – After wearing heels for the entirety of July 4th, I came back with some blisters that did not gel with my work flats. So I went for my gold sandals that were more comfortable yet still nice enough for work and ended up wearing them pretty much exclusively all month.
Lululemon Tank (similar)- When I’m running in the 80+ degree weather it’s been lately, I like to wear as little and as light clothes as possible. This shirt has been on rotation the past couple weeks and I have a feeling it will stay there for the rest of the summer. It’s super light weight, really stretchy and cute!
Beauty Break on Clevver Style – I’ve been an avid watcher of Meghan Rienks YouTube videos for a while now so when I discovered this channel featuring Meghan I was hooked. The premise is that Meghan and a couple other hosts (who are also hysterical) try out some rather iffy beauty fixes and gadgets (think as seen on tv kinda stuff) and report on it. Definitely worth a peek. This episode is by far my favorite.
James Bay – His break out song is Hold Back the River and the rest of his music is just as good. His station on Pandora is full of Hozier, Birdy, Kodaline, and other artists right up my alley. I’ve been listening to it non-stop at the office.
