I don’t know about you but I am definitely ready for a weekend full of much needed sleep thanks to my wisdom teeth keeping me up at night most days this week. I’ve picked up a few bits and bobs over the past two weeks, some tried and true repurchases and a couple newbies that I’ll have to report back on, and I thought I’d share them with you! Enjoy and have a great weekend!
Boscia Charcoal Pore-Minimizing Hydrogel Mask (Newbie) – The biggest issue that I encounter with my face are the ever present pores and blackheads surrounding my nose. I’ve never tried a Boscia mask before but I’ve heard very good reviews of their skin products so fingers crossed that I see some results with this one!
Maybelline Master Precise Ink Pen Eye Liner (Oldie) – I can’t count the number of these that I’ve gone through. They’re easy to maneuver, fine tip, and they last a long time. The only issue that I have with these is that the tail of my cat eye can get a little messy at the end of the day so if I found a liner that didn’t do this I would be enthralled. Of course nothing’s gonna beat drug store prices right?
Sally Hansen Double Duty (Newbie) – I gotta be honest, the only reason I picked this one up is because I ran out of my Sally Hansen Complete Care Extra Moisturizing 4-in-1 Nail Treatment and I didn’t feel like spending $10 on another one. So this was the cheaper alternative. We’ll see how it stands up or if I’ll actually have to pony up and keep spending the extra couple bucks.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara (Oldie) – This guy has been on the blog many times before so I won’t go into much detail but this mascara lengthens and really separates my lashes, doesn’t clump, stays on all day, doesn’t flake, and washes off easily in the shower. What more could you ask for?
Nars Audacious Lip Stick in Audrey (Newbie) – I’ve been wanting this lipstick for so long! But the price ($32) scared me away for so long that I had to try it on in stores on three separate occasions before I took the plunge but oh my gosh… so worth it. This color is what I would describe as a dark dusty rose and it is GORGEOUS. The stay power is frick’n amazing; it lasted 3+ hours of work AND a Pure Barre class so that’s saying something. And despite it being long lasting, it didn’t dry out my lips at all! Win.
Maybelline Color Tattoo Eye Shadow in Bad to the Bronze (Newbie/Oldie) – I already owned this cream shadow in Tough as Taupe and was AMAZED by its stay power. This stuff really does not come off unless you want it to as it definitely requires a little more than water to remove. That being said, the color is a beautiful shimmery bronze that looks amazing on its own (it magically adds dimension to the eyes, no extra shading required) and can double as a base when I’m going for a night time look. So excited to show this one off!
