Workplace Outfit Essentials

As of right now I have been working in the “real world” for a little shy of two years ( two years on August 12th to be exact) and during this time I have definitely expanded my work day wardrobe. At first my closet consisted of a couple of Ann Taylor dresses, two pairs of dress pants and a couple of monochromatic flowy tops. And while I still wear these items today, I have come across a couple more pieces that I wear virtually every week and have made getting ready for work a TON easier and quicker. Here are my go-to workplace wardrobe essentials:

Black Flats ($100) – Before this pair I had yet to find a pair of flats that didn’t squish my toes or scrape my heels. I wear these pretty much every single day.

Sloan Pants ($90) – I own two pairs of these bad boys because I probably wear them 2-3 days every week. They go with everything, they have the fit of skinny jeans, they go well with flats and boots and heels, and they don’t fade!

White Cardigan ($65) – For the days when my layering game is not up to par, a white cardigan goes with everything and is always in style.

Pearl Earrings ($50) – These don’t even have to be real pearls, they make the same “I’m a fancy-a$! lady” statement either way. And they also go with everything.

Lose Button Down ($50) – I mean you could go with a tight button down too but since I live in fitted pants and loose shirts this one is a given for me. For days when I want to be comfy but still need to be office appropriate, these are my go-tos.

Black Booties ($150) – These are my winter shoes. I really don’t wear anything else during the cold months because these are so easy to walk in (much easier than heels) and if you get a sleek enough pair, completely office appropriate.
